WE ARE HOME

We have been home for two weeks and have not stopped since then. London, Woking, Swansea, Bedford, Cambridge and Leeds with several overnight stops on the way. Bearing in mind our recent exploits that has all been chicken feed in comparison. On the train from Gatwick it was good to see mowed lawns and hear English being spoken all around - especially the broad cockney accents.

What a fantastic time it was, we would recommend it to you and can offer advice if you are interested. South America is definitely a greater cultural experience than Mexico proved to be, but our friends made the latter all the more enjoyable.

Thank you for your comments and e-mails along the way, it has kept us in touch with home and given us something to talk about - you can imagine Yvonne and/or Rob being lost for words eh!

We will be in touch and apologise to those we have not contacted so far. We will be based in Leeds for the next six months, spending our spare time planning the next trip. Meanwhile we will visit Karen and Nigel in Cyprus and accept an invitation for a week in Tenerife early next year.
